This month, as we turn our attention to the heartfelt journey of adoption, Foster Greatness remains steadfast in our core mission: building lifelong connections and communities where every individual knows they belong. 💞 We recognize and honor that adoption can be a powerful avenue to that lasting belonging for many touched by foster care, and we celebrate the love, healing, and families that are formed.

This November, we are thrilled to channel that spirit of connection into exciting new partnerships, fun community events as we welcome the holidays, and ways for you to engage and help us strengthen the web of support around every person impacted by foster care! 🌟

October was a truly monumental month, but at Foster Greatness, every single day is dedicated to uplifting and empowering former and current foster youth by centering your voices in everything we do. While we operate with this commitment year-round, Foster Youth Voice Month serves a vital purpose: it captures the attention of the wider world and creates a dedicated space to educate systems and allies on why listening to lived experience is essential to building a future that truly empowers without causing harm.

This October, we amplified this mission powerfully by hosting events that elevated our community's truths, and we celebrated as our own Isabel Stasa called on our network to amplify Foster Youth Voice Month. Now, Rep. Nunn has introduced a bill to proclaim October as National Foster Youth Voice Month! This is how we turn up the volume, not just for a month, but for a movement. 🔥

🌟 The Foster Greatness Holiday Wish Round-Up is BACK! 🌟

That’s right, your favorite holiday magic is returning! 🎄✨ We’re so excited to invite individuals with lived experience in foster care to share your holiday spirit with us.

Simply tell us up to two wishes (think cozy winter boots, a specific book series, art supplies, or that kitchen gadget you've been eyeing!) valued at up to $100 each, and our team will get to work. 🎁 We can't wait to see what you wish for!

But this is so much more than just a gift—it’s a powerful message of belonging. 💝 For many former foster youth, the holidays can amplify feelings of isolation or remind us of what we never had.

This initiative, powered by our incredible partnership with One Simple Wish, is a direct response to that. It’s our way of looking you in the eye (virtually!) and saying: You are seen, you are valued, and you deserve to be celebrated.
